McGill Associates Employees Participate in Community Events

McGill Associates’ Asheville office employees were busy with two community-related events last week. On June 5, 2015, a team from McGill Associates participated in a benefit sporting clays shoot. The event was sponsored by the Southern Appalachian Chapter of the Ruffed Grouse Society, and was held at the Biltmore Sporting Clays Club on the Biltmore Estate. The event raised funds for the Society’s “Drummer Fund for Habitat Projects” which provides assistance to the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission for its efforts to improve wildlife habitat in the Appalachian Mountains. Team members included, from left, Chris Jordan, Surveyor; Dale Pennell, Project Manager; Harry Buckner, Project Manager; and Jason Gasperson, Surveyor.

Also on June 5, a team of 11 employees from McGill Associates and Martin-McGill – the firm’s sister company – participated in the Asheville Chamber Challenge 5K, which took place in the hilly, historic Montford neighborhood. From left, front row: Joel Storrow, President; Lena Richards, Marketing Manager; Nancy Smith, Administrative Assistant; Shannon McKay, Administrative Assistant; and Mary Frances Kiffmeyer, Graphic Designer. From left, back row: Leo Smith, Director of IT; Greg Hoffman, Project Engineer; Mike Lewis, Project Manager; Steven Miller, Financial Analyst; Daniel Griffee, Electrical Engineer; and Jacob Gray, Engineering Associate. Congratulations to Jacob, who was the fastest on the McGill team!
