This summer, McGill is proud to host a cohort of talented interns across our offices, representing a wide range of universities, academic disciplines, and career aspirations. These students have joined our team to gain meaningful, hands-on experience while contributing to our mission of shaping and strengthening the communities we serve.

Academic Excellence Across Disciplines

The 2025 intern class includes students from North Carolina State University, University of North Carolina (UNC) Charlotte, the University of Georgia, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), Milligan University, Liberty University, and the University of Tennessee. While many interns are pursuing degrees in civil or environmental engineering, others bring expertise from fields like mechanical and electrical engineering, business administration, and even a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. This academic diversity brings valuable perspectives to McGill’s work across disciplines and departments. The interns are eager to apply what they have learned in their classrooms to real-world challenges.

Campus Leaders and Community Builders

Beyond their academic work, many interns are actively involved in leadership and service at their universities. From engineering societies like the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the American Water Works Association (AWWA) to faith-based organizations and sustainability-focused fraternities, their extracurricular involvement speaks to a commitment to personal growth and community engagement.

Each intern brings a unique story of how they found McGill — whether that is through family connections, career fairs, university events, or referrals from past interns. Across the board, they were drawn to McGill for its reputation, quality of work, and commitment to fostering a collaborative environment.

From gaining technical experience to shadowing experienced professionals, the summer 2025 interns are highly motivated to learn and grow. Many expressed enthusiasm for working on a variety of project types and seeing how engineering solutions are applied in real-world scenarios.
