McGill Associates Assists 10 Communities in Receiving Over 28 Million in Grant Funds

McGill Associates’ success of providing comprehensive services to communities continues. On February 28, 2018, the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality’s State Water Infrastructure Authority Board approved the Fall 2017 funding decisions. McGill Associates developed and supported 10 municipalities and water authorities in securing a combination of 15 grants, loans, and principal forgiveness loans, totaling $28,451,340 – equaling 11.67% of the total funds available. McGill Associates’ 2018 Spring Bass Tournament

Chris Jordan, PLS and UAS Pilot, in our Asheville office was awarded 1st place in the Structures Category of the 2017 NC AWWA-WEA photography competition. McGill Helps Town of Marshall with Emergency Repairs

January 4, 2018

McGill Associates assisted the Town of Marshall with permanent repairs to the Redmon Road sewer force main. Repairs were completed in record time to return service prior to the Christmas holiday. Heavy rains on October 28th resulted in a rupture of the sewer force main under the French Broad River. The town secured an emergency loan from the Division of Water Infrastructure for repairs. McGill Aids in Renovation of NC School for the Deaf Gym

December 13, 2017

McGill worked with Mathews Architecture to renovate the Western North Carolina School for the Deaf gym, built in 1924, which had been unused for decades. The renovation transformed it into a space for therapy and education that includes a sensory gym, audiology suite, and recreational gym. City of Asheville and McGill Host Water Line Meeting

The City of Asheville, T&K Utilities, Inc., and McGill Associates hosted a public information meeting August 15, covering the Phase 2 McGill-designed water lines in Enka-Candler and Emma to improve public health and safety by replacing undersized and aging water lines and installing fire hydrants. Multiple McGill Clients Surpass Federal and State Drinking Water Standards

The N.C. Division of Water Resources recently honored 51 water treatment plants for exceeding federal and state drinking water standards in 2016, 20 of which are some of McGill Associates’ longtime clients.
