Two Key Leadership Positions Announced

Mike Hanson: Overseeing Eastern North Carolina Offices
McGill recently announced two key leadership promotions. Mike Hanson, PE, LEED AP, has been promoted to Principal – Regional Manager over McGill’s Eastern North Carolina offices, including Pinehurst, Raleigh, and Shallotte. Mike, a licensed professional engineer in nine states, joined our Raleigh office in 2018. With over 28 years of experience, he has served as our water resources practice lead for the last two years. Mike has extensive experience in multidiscipline, complex projects in all areas of civil engineering infrastructure.
Mike will expand his leadership role beyond water resources at McGill by applying his industry knowledge to strengthen McGill’s Eastern North Carolina presence and continue building on McGill’s quality of service to clients. “I look forward to learning more about what has made each of the Eastern North Carolina offices successful. Working in conjunction with the office managers, my goals include identifying opportunities afforded by our new focus on companywide practice areas to better serve existing clients, building partnerships, and developing strategies to grow our presence in the region” stated Hanson.
David Honeycutt: Managing Pinehurst Office
David Honeycutt, PE, has been promoted Pinehurst Office Manager. David is one of many of our employees who began their careers at McGill as an engineering intern upon graduating college. Over his 16-year career designing and managing complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects, David advanced quickly into leadership and now, as Pinehurst Office Manager, will bring dedication and enthusiasm to our clients in Eastern North Carolina. He is passionate about clean water and the environment and is known for his innovations in a wide variety of water and wastewater projects. McGill’s clients have found David’s hands-on approach, eye for smart designs, and knowledge of funding and grants programs to be a great asset to their local unit of government.
